Defends clients in employment related litigation, including actions to enforce restrictive covenants, wage and hour litigation, employment rights litigation and other business disputes. Advise clients in a variety of employment and labor matters, including individual employee rights, wage and hour issues, restrictive covenants, employment practices and policies. Advice includes providing employers guidance in complying with a variety of Federal, State and Local laws, including: the WARN Act, ADA, OSHA, FMLA, Title VII, New York State Human Rights Act, New York City Human Rights Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act and other statutes. Assists clients in drafting and revising employment policies and handbooks, including insuring drug-testing policies comply with Federal, State, and Local privacy laws and that background check policies comply with the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Counsels clients regarding investigations into allegations of discrimination and harassment in the workplace.
