Daniel Fridman

I am the Managing Partner of Fridman Fels & Soto, where I represent companies, executives, boards and institutions in high-stakes federal and cross-border matters.⠀My practice includes federal white-collar defense, DOJ and SEC investigations, internal investigations, False Claims Act and health care fraud matters, FCPA and anti-corruption investigations, complex business litigation, civil RICO disputes, domestic commercial arbitration—including proceedings administered by the American Arbitration Association—and matters involving Latin America.⠀Before entering private practice, I served as Senior Counsel to the Deputy Attorney General of the United States, Special Counsel for Health Care Fraud at the Department of Justice, and an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Southern District of Florida. I later became a partner at White & Case, where I established its Latin America investigations practice.⠀Chambers USA has ranked me for White-Collar Crime & Government Investigations in Florida since 2016 and in Band 1 since 2021, and has repeatedly recognized my work on cross-border matters involving Latin America. I work in English and Spanish and have professional working proficiency in Portuguese.⠀At FFS, we are building a litigation boutique that combines the experience and capabilities associated with leading international firms with direct partner involvement, speed and flexibility. Sophisticated clients should not have to choose between institutional-quality legal work and a nimble, responsive team.⠀I also serve as FFS’s Chief Information Officer and oversee our technology and AI strategy. I have programmed since high school, beginning with C++ and Pascal, and maintain an Apple developer credential through which I have signed applications used internally by the firm. I continue to help design and build software, AI-assisted workflows and other systems used in our practice, with an emphasis on security, confidentiality, testing and lawyer accountability.⠀I write here about federal investigations, business litigation, domestic arbitration, Latin America, the rule of law and DOJ institutional integrity, building a modern boutique, and responsible uses of technology and AI.
