I am an employment solicitor doing a broad split of contentious and non-contentious employment work. Historically the majority of my work has involved defending unfair dismissal and discrimination Employment Tribunal claims but I am now doing increasing amounts of commercial support work. Most of my work is for retailers and quasi public sector organisations. I conduct my own Tribunal advocacy and am also regularly involved in client training. I also regularly advise clients on day-to-day employee relations issues, restructuring exercises and on issues relating to internationally based employees and the tricky issue of which country's law applies to them.I also have expertise in employee data protection issues and spent 6 weeks working as the acting data protection officer for a large telecommunications company.Specialties: Defending complex discrimination claims.Restrictive covenant advice and litigation.Part-time worker issues, including defending less favourable treatment claims.Agency workers issues (including pay between assignments contracts).TUPE.Employee data protection.International employment issues.Defending goods and services discrimination claims.
