About Damon Ott
I represents clients in connection with a broad spectrum of employment and labor law issues, with a heavy focus on matters involving independent contractor classification, alternative workforce arrangements, and complex/large scale wage & hour litigation (including class action, collective action and PAGA-only matters). I also frequently assist clients with employment tax audits and cases, in particular audits conducted by the California Employment Development Department (EDD) focused on independent contractor status and related tax consequences. My practice is devoted solely to management side representation and, therefore, only involves advising and representing companies and employers across a wide range of industries, with particular concentration in the gig economy, transportation, staffing, and energy generation industries.
