About Christopher Madeksho
Chris Madeksho is the son of firm founder Larry Madeksho and leads the firm’s California office in the Los Angeles area. Like his father, Chris is driven by a passion for protecting individuals harmed by corporate negligence. A graduate of the University of Texas, he began his human rights work while attending American University Law School. He provided pro bono legal support in Costa Rica with Casa Alianza and CEJIL Centroamérica, focusing on international child trafficking cases. Chris is fluent in Spanish and French. A recognized authority on benzene litigation, Chris co-chairs the Benzene Litigation Group with the American Association for Justice. He is licensed to practice in six states—Texas, California, Pennsylvania, Washington, Missouri, and Oregon—and has earned a national reputation for handling complex asbestos and toxic tort cases. He represents mesothelioma and toxic injury clients across the country. In June 2025, Chris led a trial team to a $14.3 million jury verdict on behalf of the family of a Navy veteran who died from mesothelioma after asbestos exposure. The jury awarded $7.77 million in compensatory and $6.6 million in punitive damages, holding Crown Cork & Seal accountable for their role in the veteran’s death. Earlier, in October 2024, Chris helped win a $3.8 million verdict in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, for Harry and Rae Chirdon. The jury found Foster Wheeler fully liable for Mr. Chirdon’s mesothelioma and awarded $2.3 million in compensatory and $1.5 million in punitive damages, reinforcing the importance of workplace safety and corporate accountability. With over $400 million recovered for clients and settlements against more than 100 companies, Madeksho Law has spent over 50 years fighting for working families nationwide—a tradition Chris proudly continues. Chris is a graduate of the Trial Lawyers College and has been named a Super Lawyer from 2022–2025, an honor awarded to no more than 5% of attorneys in each state based on peer recognition and professional achievement. He also dedicates time to pro bono work, representing low-income tenants facing eviction in Los Angeles and serving as counsel in the largest rent strike in county history. Outside the courtroom, Chris enjoys gardening, exploring nature, making music, and sharing great food with his family.
