About Christopher Hara
Christopher R. O'Hara is a partner at Todd & Weld LLP. He has been a trial lawyer for over thirty years and his practice areas include business litigation, employment litigation, non-competition and trade secret cases, commission disputes, wage and hour cases, corporate governance cases, shareholder derivative litigation, white collar litigation, business torts, professional liability, and complex commercial litigation. He has extensive experience in state and federal courts as well as administrative agencies, including the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (MCAD) and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). He has also arbitrated numerous claims before JAMS, the AAA and other dispute resolution organizations Mr. O'Hara represents senior executives and companies in the negotiation of executive employment agreements, severance agreements, and other employment issues in numerous industries, including life sciences, financial, IT, and healthcare. He advises companies in decisions from hiring and promotions to demotions, performance improvement plans and terminations. He has counseled companies on investigations, employment guides, policies and agreements, and matters concerning state and federal employment law. Mr. O'Hara has successfully represented employers in numerous industries in defending claims of sexual harassment, age, race, national origin, gender and handicap discrimination. He has also represented individuals and companies in employment and white collar investigations by state and federal authorities, including the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the U.S. Solicitors Office, the U.S. Dept. of Labor, and the U.S. Department of Justice. He has also been featured in Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly articles on noncompetition cases and is a frequent speaker at seminars hosted by the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education on the development of the law in employment matters and business litigation matters.
