Christopher DeGroff

I am a partner in the Chicago office of Seyfarth and a member of the Labor & Employment Department. I have extensive experience in large-scale litigation brought by private plaintiffs and government agencies. My complex litigation experience spans the entire spectrum of employment law theories, including claims of disability, race, age and gender discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, and wage & hour matters. This includes collective actions, class actions, systemic and pattern-or-practice claims, and multi-plaintiff joined actions.I have developed innovative strategies for addressing wide-ranging governmental investigations and have handled complex regional and national EEOC matters. When the EEOC resorts to litigation, I have been extensive experience effectively defending our clients in forums across the country, from high-profile systemic cases to matters on behalf of a single claimant. I also spearhead innovative initiatives that allow our clients to collect, aggregate, and analyze nationwide litigation and charge activity, often allowing our clients to stay one step ahead of shifting political and strategic agendas.
