About Chris Carlton
Since 1983, my law practice has been predominantly devoted to the representation of employers and management in all areas of employment and labor law. My primary areas of emphasis include the following: • employment litigation defending employers/management against employment claims brought by current or former employees (e.g., harassment, discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour issues) • trade secret litigation representing employers/employees asserting or defending against claims of misappropriation of trade secrets and unfair competition • "traditional labor law" representing employers/management in dealings with labor unions • counseling and advice to employers/management on a wide variety of employment, labor, and personnel issues • training on various subjects for executives, managers, and non-managers Additionally, on select occasions, I have represented individual executives and managers in connection with their personal employment issues, including negotiating employment contracts and severance arrangements and resolving various employment disputes.
