I am an IP and corporate counsel with extensive experience leading the development and execution of intellectual property strategies for cutting edge and future technologies, from start-ups to mature public companies. I enjoy innovating creative, efficient solutions for fast-moving companies managing IP risk in an ever-changing IP landscape, and engaging with forward-thinking engineers and scientists to effectively protect and commercialize their best ideas. I've worked on technologies ranging from data storage to e-commerce to moonshots - projects that aim to solve the world's greatest problems with radical solutions and breakthrough technologies. Breakthrough technologies I've supported at X, Google's moonshot factory, include autonomous vehicles (i.e., UAV / drones, cars, wind energy kites), robotics, bio / medical devices and platforms. I'm excited about opportunities to make the world a radically better place. I have in-depth experience from previous positions in patent preparation, prosecution, analysis, counseling, and portfolio assessment and evaluation, in a broad spectrum of technologies, including storage management, platform and analytics software, mobile and web applications software, bioscience, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, electrical, mechanical and medical devices. I also have extensive experience in patent litigation, including infringement and invalidity analysis, claim construction, motion practice, trial preparation, and appeals. Other prior experience include evaluating and drafting contracts (e.g., IP licenses, NDAs, etc.), trade secret litigation, patent monetization, and trademark prosecution and counseling. I am registered as a patent attorney with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and admitted to practice in the State of California and before the U.S. Supreme Court, the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals, the Northern and Southern Districts of California and the Eastern District of Texas.
