Cherie Blackburn

I am a litigator and advisor with more than 35 years of experience helping clients navigate issues in employment law, business disputes, and intellectual property matters. As a shareholder at Saxton & Stump, I work with the firm’s Labor and Employment, Commercial Litigation, and IP Litigation groups. My employment law practice focuses on helping employers stay compliant and avoid litigation. I provide training, draft handbooks and employment agreements, advise on wage and hour issues, and develop enforceable restrictive covenants. When disputes arise, I represent employers in state and federal courts across South Carolina in matters involving discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and related claims. I also represent clients in commercial litigation and IP matters, including trade secret protection, non-compete enforcement, and trademark disputes. In addition to my litigation work, I serve as a certified mediator in both state and federal courts, often helping parties resolve complex cases outside of trial.
