Charles Naylor

Charles D. Naylor has been a maritime personal injury trial lawyer in the State and federal courts of Southern California for more than 30 years. During his career, Mr. Naylor has successfully settled or tried hundreds of cases arising from injuries occurring in the ports of Los Angeles, Long Beach and around the world. Mr. Naylor enjoys a national reputation among his peers for his strict adherence to the highest standards of ethics, quality of work, and successful prosecution of injury cases. Among his recent jury trial verdicts, in a 2007 wrongful death case Mr. Naylor obtained a verdict of more than $55 million for the family of a deceased longshoreman and a settlement agreement of $3.2 million for an injured longshore woman. Mr. Naylor has been a lecturer for the State of California, Continuing Education of the Bar program and serves as a Neutral Evaluator for the Los Angeles County Superior Courts for maritime injury cases. He is a commissioner of the State Bar of California, Board of Legal Specialization Admiralty & Maritime Consulting Group, where he has played a vital role in the development of criteria for certification in California as a specialist in Admiralty and Maritime Law. Mr. Naylor is also an adjunct Professor of Law, teaching Admiralty and Maritime Law at Chapman University School of Law.
