Chad DeGroot

I concentrate my practice on all aspects of employee benefits and executive compensation law, including the design, drafting, and administration of qualified and nonqualified retirement plans, health and welfare plans, fringe benefit plans, and equity-based compensation arrangements for private and public entities. I advise clients with respect to, among other things, compliance with the Internal Revenue Code, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, PPACA, FMLA, ADA, Mental Health Parity, and any other laws or regulations having an impact on employee benefit plans. I have been admitted to practice law in both Illinois and Missouri. I am a member of the American Bar Association Tax Section’s Employee Benefits Committee where I serve as website coordinator and young lawyer liaison to the cafeteria plans and reimbursement accounts subcommittee and have assisted on various IRS comment projects. I am also a member of the Chicago Bar Association's Employee Benefits Committee.
