About Catherine Benouis
Catherine Benouis received her B.A. from Indiana University in 1986, graduating with distinction, Phi Beta Kappa. She graduated from law school at the University of Illinois in 1990, graduating in the top 10 percent of her class, magna cum laude, Order of the Coif. She was licensed to practice law in Illinois in 1990. She obtained her license to practice law in Texas in 1992. Ms. Benouis began practicing law with the international law firm of Jones, Day, Reavis, & Pogue. In 1994, she chose to focus on family law and has been practicing in this area exclusively since that time. Ms. Benouis’ personal philosophy is that clients going through a divorce are facing one of the most difficult transitions of their life and need the guidance and information required to make important decisions during this time. Ms. Benouis is extremely conscientious about communicating with her clients. When you are a client of Benouis Law, you will always know where things stand with your case and will never need to feel that you are just one of many clients. Ms. Benouis and her staff consider it possible and consider it their job to get you and your children to the other side of the divorce with dignity, respect and a future that looks positive. Specialties: Ms. Benouis has been board certified in family law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 1998. She completed training in Collaborative Family Law in 2001 and completed additional training in 2003. She completed mediation training in 1998.
