About Carly Miller
I'm a construction litigator representing clients in virtually every aspect of the construction, energy, and government contracting industries. I represent owners, EPC contractors, general contractors and subcontractors on a range of projects, large and small, public and private, international and domestic. I help our clients identify, mitigate and resolve the many risks faced on their construction projects from start to finish, including everything from delay and disruption to differing site conditions to project financing issues. I usually work with clients to help them navigate these risks before the contract is signed, during project performance, and all the way through contract closeout and, when necessary, dispute resolution. Specifically, I frequently advise regarding general project administration, change order negotiation, claim preparation and defense, and the drafting of project correspondence. If a dispute arises and the parties are unable to resolve their issues, my teams and I roll up our sleeves and get ready for dispute resolution, whether it be state or federal litigation, domestic or international arbitration, or mediation. I've arbitrated and litigated construction disputes of various types, including renewable energy, industrial, commercial, and healthcare, across the U.S. and abroad. Recently, my practice has focused heavily on representing clients in the power and energy industries on various types of projects, including solar, hydroelectric, and water treatment projects. It is an exciting time to be a part of energy projects and I'm happy to assist our clients in navigating the changes in that landscape. My practice also involves general litigation representing clients in the healthcare, insurance, transportation, industrial and residential industries. I also have federal litigation experience involving civil rights violations on behalf of incarcerated individuals. On the weekends, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my friends and family, particularly my husband, three young boys, and large dog.
