About Carla Ford
A former trial attorney, Carla Ford is General Counsel for U.S.VETS, a nonprofit that "serves those who served." Reporting to the Board Chair and the CEO, Ms. Ford is a partner with U.S.VETS leaders in our mission to end veteran homelessness in the United States. Previously, Ms. Ford was an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Civil Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Central District of California. For 16 years, she represented government agencies in a varied civil practice that included employment discrimination, torts, immigration, fraud investigations, and asset forfeiture. For five years, Ms. Ford was a Senior Director on Walmart’s Ethics & Compliance Team. Reporting directly to the Vice-President of Environmental Compliance, Ms. Ford led the California-based Field Support Team of compliance managers as they drove compliance with Walmart U.S. environmental programs in more than 300 California Walmart stores Sam’s Clubs, and distribution centers.
