Cari Pines

Cari is a Certified Family Law Specialist with boutique practice in Encino, California. In addition to leadership in local family law organizations and producing continuing education for family law professionals in the area of electronic evidence and use of legal technology, the pride of Cari's practice has been her role as advocate, counselor and consultant for clients and family law attorneys representing clients impacted by a child’s special needs. Cari's innovation and creativity brought education in trial technique, electronic evidence and use of cutting edge legal technology to family law community. First on the agenda was the groundbreaking full day MCLE program, "From Intake to Trial-- Demystifying the Preservation, Collection and Presentation of ESI In Family Law" on December 5, 2015 at Raleigh Studios presented by Levitt & Quinn and ACFLS and for the past five years, Cari has been producing and featured as a presenter on programs focused on family law ESI, electronic evidence, privacy and technology. In 2018, Cari graduated Georgetown Law’s eDiscovery Training Academy. Serving as Chair of LACBA's Family Law Section 2018-2019, Cari has also served as Chair of the ADR/Mediation/CDR Sub-Committee, Chair of SFVBA's Family Law Executive Committee and Cari is honored to serve on the Board of Directors of Levitt & Quinn Family Law Center, a non-profit law firm in Los Angeles. where she was President of the Board 2021-2023. In 2020, Cari successfully transitioned LACBA's Daily Settlement Officer program to the Virtual Settlement Program enabling family law attorneys and private judges to provide virtual settlement conferences for family law matters pending throughout Los Angeles county and when the courts reopened for in-person appearances, Cari designed the protocol for remote access to DSO.
