Brooke Murphy

Brooke Bradley Murphy was born in Missoula, Montana, but grew up on the West Coast, primarily in Portland, Oregon. She graduated from Montana State University in Bozeman in 1997 and obtained her JD from the University of Montana School of Law in 2000. Brooke founded MurphyMyers PLLC in 2018. Prior to that, she was a shareholder at the law firm formerly known as Matovich, Keller & Murphy, PC, where she practiced for nearly 18 years. She is a member of the Defense Research Institute, Montana Defense Trial Lawyers Association, International Association of Defense Counsel, The CLM, and her state and local bar associations. Brooke is a member of the Trial Law Institute and Diversity Law Institute. She is a Senior Fellow, Litigation Counsel of America. She a member and past president of the Board of Directors for the Montana Defense Trial Lawyers and has served on the board and as secretary/treasurer of the Yellowstone Area Bar Association. She serves on the Board of Visitors for the Alexander Blewett III School of Law at the University of Montana and was appointed by the Montana Supreme Court to the Montana Uniform District Court Rules Commission in 2018. Brooke is past president of the Alberta Bair Theater's Board of Advisors in Billings, Montana.Brooke focuses her practice on civil litigation defense, including medical malpractice, commercial and insurance defense, class action litigation, and products liability litigation. In addition to all Montana state courts, Brooke is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of Montana and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.Brooke has been recognized in Mountain States Super Lawyers & Rising Stars yearly since 2008. She was named as one of the Top 50 Women Lawyers in the Mountain States in 2018 and every year since and one of the Top 100 Lawyers in the Mountain States by Super Lawyers in 2018. She has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America in the fields of Products Liability Litigation and Commercial Litigation every year since 2009 and was selected a "Lawyer of the Year" for Products Liability Litigation in 2018, 2020 and 2024.
