About Bridget Penick
I joined Fredrikson to launch the firm’s Des Moines office in February 2014. Now with over 50 lawyers in Iowa and 400 firmwide, we continue to grow the office to meet our business clients’ complex legal needs. I practice primarily in employment and labor law representing employers in state and federal courts, as well as before various administrative agencies (EEOC, ICRC, NLRB, DOL, OSHA, USCIS, IWD). Active licenses in Illinois and Nebraska allow me to represent clients in those states as well. I advise employers on hiring, discipline, termination, drafting employment policies, employment agreements, noncompetes, HR and government audits, union avoidance, and other employment and labor issues. At Jenner & Block (Chicago) my first three years out of law school in a national practice, I cut my teeth in traditional labor law. I do not represent individual plaintiffs in employment matters. I also assist businesses with employment-related immigration filings, such as H-1bs, TNs, O-1s, L-1s, and employment-based permanent residency applications (greencards). I do not handle removal cases.
