Brian Selvan

Brian Selvan is an attorney and mediator with over twenty years of experience focusing on California Labor and Employment law. He counsels clients and represents them in all manners of employment law proceedings, including, state and federal courts (both at trial and appellate levels), administrative proceedings, and in arbitration. Mr. Selvan’s career began at O’Melveny & Myers LLP in the Labor and Employment department. He subsequently moved in-house to become a Vice President and Senior Attorney for NextWave Broadband, Inc., a technology company in San Diego. While with NextWave, Mr. Selvan worked on both legal and operational matters, overseeing all of the company’s employment-related legal issues and having primary responsibility for overseeing all of the company’s adversarial matters. Mr. Selvan’s work as a litigator and in-house counsel provides him with unique experience handling matters from both a legal and practical perspective. He also uses his experience to develop strategic, cost-efficient solutions. In his private practice, Mr. Selvan continues to focus on California and federal employment law. He represents both employers and employees; providing advice and counseling and litigating in adversarial proceedings. In addition, Mr. Selvan acts as an impartial mediator assisting parties in resolving disputes. His experience representing both Plaintiffs and Defendants provides Mr. Selvan with a unique ability to relate easily to all parties and to understand their respective perspectives.
