Brian Lerner

I am a Board Certified Specialist in Labor and Employment Law, one of approximately 200 attorneys to hold that designation from The Florida Bar, and a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator. I have been ranked by Chambers USA in Labor and Employment for over a decade, named to the Florida Super Lawyers Top 100, and selected as 2023 Lawyer of the Year in Litigation — Labor and Employment by Best Lawyers in America. I represent both employers and employees. On the employer side, I defend companies ranging from regional businesses to international institutions against discrimination, harassment, retaliation, whistleblower, FMLA, ADA, and wage and hour claims, including FLSA collective and class actions. On the individual side, I represent executives and employees in high-stakes disputes involving non-competes, severance, and employment contract breaches. I have tried cases to verdict in state and federal courts, before arbitration panels, and before administrative agencies. Beyond litigation, I advise companies on workforce reductions, employment practices audits, internal investigations, and day-to-day counseling, and I draft and review employment agreements, non-competes, severance packages, and employee handbooks. I left Big Law, where I was a partner at Hogan & Hartson (now Hogan Lovells), to build something different: a firm where clients reach the lawyer handling their matter directly and get a fast response without navigating layers of bureaucracy. That decision has defined how I practice. I am directly involved in every case I take.
