About Brian Flood
Brian M. Flood was admitted to the State of Connecticut Superior Court in 1997 and the Federal Court in 2001. He received his undergraduate degree from Providence College (B.S. 1989) and his law degree from Quinnipiac College School of Law (J.D. 1997). Brian is certified as a civil trial advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy, the certification of which requires the applicant to pass a rigorous written test, demonstrate a record of extensive litigation experience including numerous trials to verdict, and demonstrate compliance with the highest ethical standards of the profession. He is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, a national trial bar organization in which membership is by invitation only and limited to the top trial lawyers in the state based on their trial experience and ability. The Connecticut chapter is limited to only 80 trial lawyers, balanced between the plaintiff and defense bars. Brian is also a member of the Board of Governors of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association, which is currently comprised of members who are generally recognized as among the top personal injury trial lawyers in the State of Connecticut. He is an active member of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association and lectures regularly in the areas of trial practice and procedure. He is also a member of the American Association for Justice. Brian has been named as one of New England’s “Super Lawyers” in 2011/2012 and one of Connecticut’s “Super Lawyers” in 2011 by Connecticut Magazine. In 2012, he was the recipient of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association T. Paul Tremont Award in recognition of his many successful jury trial verdicts and for his tenacity and commitment to injured clients. Brian lives in Portland, CT and is active in his community serving on the Board of Selectman for the past eight years.
