About Bradley Poppie

Dr. Brad Poppie is the founder of IRC, a medical consulting firm dedicated to assisting attorneys in the resolution of personal injury and medical-legal matters through objective, evidence-based analysis and reporting. For more than two decades, he has led a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals committed to providing thorough, defensible evaluations that promote fair & well-supported outcomes for all parties involved in litigation.A native of Denver, Colorado, Dr. Poppie earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise and Sport Science with a concentration in Sports Medicine from Colorado State University in 1997, along with dual minors in Anatomy & Neurobiology. He subsequently obtained the nationally recognized Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) credential through the National Strength & Conditioning Association. In 2000, he earned his Master of Physical Therapy from Gannon University and later completed his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree at the University of Colorado in 2011.Dr. Poppie holds multiple advanced certifications that reflect his expertise in rehabilitation, disability evaluation, and medical-legal consulting. He is a Certified Life Care Planner (CLCP) through the International Commission on Health Care Certification (ICHCC), a Certified Functional Capacity Evaluator (CFCE) through OccuPro, and a Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS) through the Brain Injury Association of America.Throughout his career, Dr. Poppie has combined extensive clinical experience with medical-legal expertise, serving both as a treating rehabilitation professional and as a retained expert witness in complex personal injury litigation. His areas of practice include life care planning, functional capacity evaluations, medical cost projections, orthopedic and brain injury functional assessments, and future medical needs analysis. He is retained by both plaintiff and defense counsel to provide objective, independent opinions founded on the available medical evidence and accepted standards of care. Dr. Poppie regularly collaborates with physicians, case managers, vocational rehabilitation specialists, accident reconstruction experts, economists, and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive, evidence-based opinions that assist attorneys, insurers, and the courts in evaluating complex medical issues.
