Georgia Department of Transportation, Superior Court of Dawson County, GA (2007) Jury verdict award in the amount of almost $2 million for the wrongful death of 67-year old woman caused by DOT's failure to properly maintain a bush located on its right-of-way. Largest jury verdict award in the history of Dawson County, GA. Lead counsel: Steven Leibel; Co-counsel: Bonnie Jones. __________________ To date, her other career accomplishments include: a jury verdict on behalf of a customer assaulted by store owners; a favorable settlement on behalf of a hot-air balloon passenger for injuries sustained as the result of a crash landing; a six-figure settlement against a private utility company for personal injuries to a minor child arising from his being run over by a trailer; and favorable settlement against a chemical company for injury to a security guard caused by inhalation of toxic fumes.
