Blake David

Blake R. David was raised in Lafayette and is a founding partner of Broussard & David, LLC. Mr. David is an "AV" rated attorney by Martindale-Hubble (highest rating possible). Mr. David has been recognized by as one of the Louisiana Super Lawyers TOP 50 lawyers in the entire state of Louisiana (this exclusive list of 50 named individuals includes all practice areas). Mr. David is board certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy in Civil Trial Advocacy. Mr. David is also an Advocate in the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). Annually, Mr. David teaches Trial Advocacy at the LSU Law Center. Mr. David’s professional associations include the Louisiana Association for Justice (Past-President, Executive Committee), Louisiana State Bar Association (Board of Governors), Louisiana State Law Institute (lawyer member), Lafayette Bar Association (Past President, Foundation Board Member), The American Inn of Court of Acadiana (Past President), and the International Society of Barristers, International Association of Trial Lawyers. He is a founding board member of the Lafayette-Acadiana Chapter of the Federal Bar Association (Past President). Mr. David and his brother own Stately Doors and Windows, a nationwide custom wood and steel door/window company based in Lafayette with manufacturing facilities in across the country. In 2017 and again in 2023, Mr. David was appointed to the Louisiana Board of Regents by Governor John Bel Edwards and confirmed by the Louisiana Senate. He has served as Chair of the Board of Regents and chaired various committees. Mr. David serves on The Committee of 100 for Economic Development. Mr. David currently serves/has served on several community organizations including: LEDA – Lafayette Economic Development Authority (Chair-Elect, Executive Committee), First Horizon (Advisory Board), Downtown Development Authority (Past DDA Chairman and DLU President), Catholic Charities of Acadiana (fundraising chair for capital campaign, Opus Christi Magnum Co-Chair and Captain); Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church (Eucharistic Minister, Foundation Board, Finance Committee), ABC Art Fund (Vice-Chair), The Acadiana Tigers (Board Member, Past President), and founding board member of "the705”, a young professionals organization. Before and during law school, Mr. David worked as a registered lobbyist with Haynie & Associates in Baton Rouge. He and his wife, Amber, reside in Lafayette with their three children.
