Benjamin Rosenthal

My past experience entails everything from teaching and education administration, to curatorial projects (exhibition development), to public relations initiatives, event planning, and writing. I was the Executive Editor of MATTER magazine, where I developed the content, wrote extensively for the magazine, and was a liaison to the designer, print house, mailing house, and advertisers. Additionally, I curated and/or organized several exhibitions including Interactive Youth (http://www.timeout.com/newyork/articles/i-new-york/9261/power-suit), and Fashion Week Fabric Futures (http://www.businessweek.com/innovate/next/archives/2007/09/ddclabs_truly_i.html), and worked heavily on Living Green (an exhibition part of the Neiman Marcus Dallas flagship's 100 year anniversary celebration). My educational background and personal practice is in art and critical theory, crossing boundaries between media (particularly video, film, performance, and installation)--a background that I feel brings a proactive and creative energy to anything I do. I am particularly interested in issues around technology and liveness, media and distribution, and the way we interact with these new media possibilities in our daily interactions.Specialties: Experience in event planning, public relations, and exhibition development. Experience in writing, production of publications and print materials, and preparing sponsorship and media proposals.
