About Baxter Banowsky
I began my law practice with Figari and Davenport in 1992, focusing almost exclusively on insurance defense litigation. Since that time, my practice has expanded to include the resentation of both governmental and private sector clients. I have represented governmental, private sector and institutional clients in condemnation and inverse condemnation matters, development disputes, contractual disputes, zoning matters, civil rights litigation, ADA litigation, employment litigation, shareholder/partnership disputes, securities litigation, products liability litigation, personal injury and wrongful death suits, professional negligence claims, construction litigation, insurance coverage and surety bond litigation, and TORA and TOMA litigation. I graduated in 1989 from the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering. After graduation, I attended the Southern Methodist University School of Law, graduating Cum Laude and a member of the Order of the Coif in 1992. I was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in November 1992. I am also admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States of America; the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit; the United States District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of Texas, the Eastern District of Michigan and the District of Nebraska; and the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
