Barry Bradley

Barry A. Bradley is the firm's founder and Co-Managing Partner. Before founding the firm, he served as a Deputy District Attorney for the L.A. County District Attorney's Office, Hardcore Gang Prosecution Division, where he had over 32 jury trials (including numerous murder trials) and dozens of court trials. He then moved to civil litigation where he worked for two prestigious firms before founding Bradley + Wellerstein LLP in 2000. Mr. Bradley applies his law enforcement and civil litigation experience in representing the firm's private security and business industry clients, from formation and licensing to advice, counsel, contracts, transactions, mergers, and employment advice. He has lectured throughout the nation to various security associations and private security companies on topics pertaining to licensing compliance, preventative documentation, risk management, increased training, avoiding employment lawsuits (wage and hour claims and class actions, sexual harassment prevention, and policy manual knowledge), minimizing exposure in negligent security cases, and business contract issues. He has obtained two successful published appellate decisions, both of which have far-reaching effects in favor of the business and private security industries in California (Maria D. v. Westec Residential Security, Inc., 85 Cal. App. 4th 125, and Borg-Warner Protective Services Corporation dba Wells Fargo Guard Services v. Superior Court, 75 Cal.App.4th 1203). He is a Legal Advisor to the California Association of Licensed Security Agencies, Guards & Associates (CALSAGA), and is a regular contributing author to security publications. He authored California's required legal training modules for security officers published by CALSAGA. His articles have appeared in numerous publications in several states. He has been named a Southern California Super Lawyer for the past 15 consecutive years, and is rated AV-Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest peer review rating attainable. A native of California, he also enjoys family time with his wife, lots of walks with his dog, and playing keyboards in a classic rock band, 5 Feet Under!.
