About BARNARD MADSEN
My nearly 40-year legal career includes service in the military, state and federal government, and private practice split almost evenly between criminal and civil practice, with four years as a full-time appellate lawyer. My current practice is focused on branding advice, registering and enforcing trademarks and copyrights, general commercial litigation and appeals, and employment law. I have authored over 150 appellate briefs in state and federal courts and have presented nearly 50 appellate arguments. I currently serve as one of the founding partners of a mid-size (15-attorney) Provo, Utah law firm. I’ve been involved in legal mentoring and teaching for over 15 years. I'm passionate about visual advocacy and helping other attorneys improve their visual advocacy skills.
