About Barbara Borowski
Barbara Borowski is a Labor & Employment Law Attorney with extensive experience in representing employers against individual, multi-plaintiff, and class-action lawsuits in federal and state courts as well as before administrative agencies. Her practice is wide-ranging and, includes among other areas, the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA), the U.S. Civil Rights Act of 1964 (Title VII), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), and the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) as well as state employment related matters. Barbara has solid project management skills with an ability to manage litigation through all phases from inception to completion including drafting pleadings, responding to discovery, taking and defending difficult technical depositions, arguing discovery and dispositive motions, participating in mediations and settlement conferences, and drafting district court and appellate briefs. Barbara regularly argues in the Northern District of Illinois and has argued before the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Expertise: ERISA litigation including fiduciary duty claims, pension and welfare benefits claims, statutory penalty claims, and discrimination claims.
