About Arthur Meirson

Arthur is a highly respected real estate attorney with over 16 years of legal and brokerage experience. Clients rely on him for his breadth of legal knowledge, solution-oriented approach to problem solving, and unique perspectives combining legal rules with business practicalities. He is a go-to resource for real estate agents in need of legal guidance and “deal doctoring.” As a transactional attorney, he ensures the performance of stakeholders in deals, conducts due diligence, reviews, and advises clients on disclosures, title, financials, inspections, and governmental compliance. He negotiates and drafts a wide range of instruments such as leases, HOA/TIC governing documents, operating agreements, easements, and lending instruments. He also regularly represents sellers and buyers in “broker-less” real estate transactions and advises property owners and managers, fractional loan lenders, and corporate executives and boards. As a litigator, he successfully represented dozens of clients in trials, arbitration, and appeals, in cases such as breach of contract, seller non-disclosure, TIC/HOA disputes, partition, landlord-tenant litigation, easement disputes, and before government land use agencies. He also represented hundreds of clients through mediation resolution. From 2021 to 2025, he took a temporary leave from g3mh, LLP to serve as the managing broker, first at Coldwell Banker’s San Francisco flagship office, and later at Compass, running the brokerage’s NorCal headquarters. He reviewed transaction files, addressed strategy and risk management concerns, resolved broker and consumer disputes, responded to DRE inquiries, and provided ongoing educational workshops to ensure agents were equipped to handle complex transactional issues. In the aftermath of antitrust litigation against the National Association of Realtors, he developed and implemented policies ensuring that his agents remained competitive while complying with evolving legal and ethical rules. He also holds leadership roles at the San Francisco Association of Realtors where he currently serves as Chair of the Standard Forms Committee and in 2025 was Vice Chair of the Government Relations Committee. In these roles, he has an unparalleled understanding of the forms used in real estate transactions and works tirelessly to advocate for policies that protect property owners. He began his legal career in 2009 as an Assistant District Attorney. In addition to prosecution work, he advanced Vice President Kamala Harris’s Smart on Crime initiatives during her tenure as SF District Attorney.
