Anthony Oncidi

One of only two lawyers ranked "Band 1" by Chambers USA in Labor & Employment in California, Tony represents employers and management in all aspects of labor relations and employment law, including litigation and preventive counseling, wrongful termination, employee discipline, Title VII and the California Fair Employment and Housing Act, wage and hour matters, including class actions, executive employment contract disputes, sexual harassment training and investigations, workplace violence, drug testing and privacy issues, confidential information, Sarbanes-Oxley claims, employee non-compete and non-solicitation issues and employee raiding and trade secret protection. Tony's specialties include the defense of employers and management in large class actions, employment discrimination, harassment, retaliation and wrongful termination litigation in state and federal court as well as arbitration proceedings. Qualified and testified as an expert witness regarding discrimination issues arising under the California Fair Employment and Housing Act and a class action involving California wage and hour laws. Tony edits Proskauer's California Employment Law Update Blog, a comprehensive review of recent developments in California employment law, and authors the firm's California Employment Law Notes, which is published every 60 days. Tony is the author of the authoritative treatise Employment Discrimination Depositions (Juris Pub’g 2015; www.jurispub.com), co-author of Proskauer on Privacy (PLI 2020), and, since 1990, has been a regular columnist for the official publication of the Labor and Employment Law Section of the State Bar of California and the Los Angeles Daily Journal. Tony has served as an adjunct professor of law at the University of Southern California Law School and as a recurring guest lecturer at the UCLA School of Law.
