About Ann Richard
Ms. Ann Richard-Farinha is an accomplished attorney with over twenty years of progressive experience in Insurance Defense and Coverage, Construction Law, Personal Injury, Real Property, Oil and Gas, Business Law, General Liability, and Civil Litigation. She is a proficient litigator and possesses extensive experience working with general contractors and builders in drafting contracts and assisting with risk management strategies. Ms. Richard-Farinha was admitted to the Oklahoma State Bar in 2005 and is admitted to practice in the United States District Court, Western District of Oklahoma. Ann was also admitted to the Nevada State Bar in 2006 and is admitted to practice in the United States District Court, District of Nevada. Ms. Richard-Farinha previously served as President of the Junior League of Oklahoma City, an organization of over 1,200 active and sustainer members whose mission is to improve the lives of the citizens of Oklahoma City. She previously served as President of the 200-member Junior League of Las Vegas in 2014-2015. She has also worked with numerous non-profits and homeowners' associations in drafting bylaws, policies and procedures, legal documents, and acted as a consultant for various non-profits and associations regarding their structure and organization. A native of Lawton, Oklahoma, Ann attended the University of Oklahoma where she graduated summa cum laude in May 2002. As a recipient of the National Merit Scholarship, Ann pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Letters with a Minor in Political Science. Following completion of her undergraduate degree, she earned her Juris Doctorate (JD) from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in May 2005. While at the University of Oklahoma College of Law, she participated in the Lone Star Classic Trial Competition, the National Native American Law Student Association Moot Court Competition, and the First Amendment Moot Court Competition. She was also a published member of the American Indian Law Review with her article, Application of the National Labor Relations Act and the Fair Labor Standards Act to Indian Tribes: Thwarting the Economic Self-determination of Tribes.
