About Anita Ninan
I am a dual licensed attorney admitted to practice in the State of Georgia and a certified lawyer admitted to practice in India. I am Founder and Principal Attorney of Ninan Legal LLC. With over a decade of legal experience across 2 continents, I focus my practice on corporate and business immigration law. I advise corporate clients and foreign nationals regarding all aspects of employment-based U.S. immigration law across a range of industries. My practice involves providing seasoned legal counsel regarding the temporary and permanent transfers of foreign nationals, including professionals, managers, executives and persons of extraordinary ability, to the United States for purposes of employment. I also prepare and review immigrant and non-immigrant petitions, labor certification applications (under the PERM regulations) and visa applications. I prepare responses to complex Requests for Evidence (RFEs) issued by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). I advise corporate clients and their employees on consular visa processing pertaining to international business travel and outbound global immigration issues pertaining to several countries, including India. I also advise foreign nationals on immigrant visa processing and guide them through the US permanent residency process to US naturalization. Prior to launching my own legal practice, I worked as Of Counsel in the US with two well-known national law firms. Previous to that I served as Legal Counsel with Standard Chartered Bank in Mumbai and Delhi, India, in their Legal and Compliance Division. Standard Chartered Bank is a leading international banking group with operations in Asia, Africa and the Middle East. I bring a unique multi-cultural perspective to my legal practice, having lived on three continents and travelled extensively. I currently serve as Board Member of the Georgia Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (GIACC), having served as its prior Chair and previous President for four years. I also serve as an Honorary Legal Advisor to the Indian Consulate General of Atlanta. I am a member of the Advisory Council, Dean Rusk International Law Center, University of Georgia School of Law, Athens, GA. I am immediate past Chair of the Steering Committee of AILA GMS for 2022-23 having served as Vice Chair the previous year. I also served as Board Member, Women Empowerment Committee of the Indo American Chamber of Commerce (IACC), West India Council 2021 – 22.
