Angela Jackson

Angela Jackson is a shareholder with the firm and practices in all aspects of business litigation. She routinely advises on business and employment matters and has been a litigator with the firm since graduating from the University of Michigan law school in 1995. In 2013 Ms. Jackson joined The Institute of Continuing Legal Education Labor & Employment Law Advisory Board. Some of her recent experience includes: Jury Verdict in Civil RICO trial over 12.4 million plus attorney fee award. Defense of sixty-five million dollar trade secret and breach of fiduciary duty lawsuit resulting in summary dismissal of the case. Court appointed receiver over a large commercial property; Summary Judgment on behalf of the employer in an ADA discrimination suit. Summary Judgment on behalf of the employer in a pregnancy discrimination and FMLA interference case in the United States District Court in the Eastern District of Michigan and affirmed by the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. Summary Disposition on behalf of the employer in a multi-plaintiff whistle blower lawsuit in the Washtenaw County Circuit Court, affirmed by the Michigan Court of Appeals. Settlement of $2,200,000 on behalf of a client after three days of trial in a commercial lease dispute Jury verdict in the amount of $11,900,000.00 for a client in a legal malpractice action.
