Andrew Peck

I served for 23 years, from 1995 to 2018, as a United States Magistrate Judge for the Southern District of New York. Now at DLA Piper, I advise on innovative and efficient solutions to the challenges of information management, particularly in the ediscovery context. I am Chambers ranked in Band 1 and ranked by Legal 500 as a "Leading Lawyer" in ediscovery nationwide. I also act as a mediator, arbitrator and court-appointed special discovery master. I am recognized internationally for my decisions and public speaking on ediscovery issues. I authored the first judicial decision, Da Silva Moore v. Publicis, approving the use of technology-assisted review (TAR), also known as predictive coding. I have received various honors for my ediscovery work, including the Champion of Technology Award from Law Technology News (now LegalTech News), the American Lawyer named me to its list of Top 50 Innovators of the Last 50 Years as a Judicial E-Discovery Innovator and I received the Judge Shira Scheindlin Lifetime Achievemnt Award in Ediscovery from Zapproved (now part of Exterro).
