About Ana Cruz
I am the Chief Development Officer and Director of Communications for Greater Boston Legal Services, where I manage a team of eight and oversee all aspects of GBLS' development and communications efforts. As part of GBLS' Senior Management team, I provide oversight and management for a 185+ person social and racial justice organization and work closely with our Board of Directors. I believe strongly in justice, working toward equity, and serving my community. I received an MBA with specializations in Marketing and Public & Nonprofit Management from Boston University School of Management. After business school, I led development efforts for Breakthrough Silicon Valley and managed grants and contracts for Bay Area Legal Aid. Prior to graduate school, I honed my development, research, and communications skills in roles at Bay Area Legal Aid, CBS Interactive, ANR and the ANR Foundation, and Tehiyah Day School. I have been an active volunteer with groups such as MISSSEY, Inc., the East Bay Agency for Children, FriendshipWorks, the California Alumni Association scholarships program, and the Berkeley/East Bay Humane Society. I earned a B.A. in English from the University of California at Berkeley. (Go Bears!)
