About Amie Miller

I have dedicated my career to championing immigrants. We know that immigration is a stressful process and we do everything we can to reduce that stress and prepare strong, tailored and persuasive immigration filings for our clients. We have advocated for immigrants for years and we have seen it all. We have a deep understanding of the law, the system, the players and the process. We know each matter is fundamentally important for each client: whether it is family unification, citizenship, career or safety, and we craft our filings to advocate specifically for each person we represent. We listen to our clients and clearly advise of the issues, strategies and process in their situation, empowering them to make educated decisions about their cases. We specialize in a broad range of immigration matters, and our practice areas include family immigration, including unique LGBT immigration aspects, citizenship, immigrant (I-601, I-601A, I-212, Totalitarian Party) and nonimmigrant (212 d 3) waivers, asylum and humanitarian applications including VAWA and U visas, R visas for religious workers as well as artist, athlete and entertainer visas. I am a Certified Specialist in Immigration & Nationality Law – an official designation by the State Bar of California recognizing the highest level of expertise, experience and professionalism. I am also a Superlawyer every year since 2009 - a designation for the top 5% of attorneys recognizing a high level of professional achievement. I also received a professional certificate in Legal Innovation and Technology from Suffolk University. I am published in the Daily Journal and multiple immigration law publications. I have been sought out by major media, including ABC7KGO news and the San Francisco Chronicle, to comment on immigration policies. I have also lectured on immigration panels and mentored pro bono attorneys. Presentation topics include Asylum and Ethics, Family Immigration, Special Issues in LGBT Immigration, and the Intersectionality of Family and Immigration Law.
