Alreen Haeggquist

My path to becoming a lawyer was born not out of privilege, but out of pain. As a survivor of childhood abuse, I know firsthand what it feels like to have your voice silenced and your power taken away. That experience ignited a lifelong mission: to stand beside those who have been wronged and to fight fiercely for their right to be heard, respected, and believed. For more than 20 years, I have dedicated my career to representing employees and survivors of sexual assault, sexual harassment, discrimination, and retaliation. My work, as Managing Partner at Haeggquist & Eck, LLP, the firm I started in 2008, is not just about winning cases—it’s about dismantling shame, restoring dignity, holding powerful institutions accountable, and helping survivors reclaim their voices. My commitment to healing extends beyond the courtroom. As founder and president of the HAE Fired Up Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we support survivors through scholarships, healing-centered events, grants for survivor-led organizations, and trauma-informed law training for legal professionals. I share my deeply personal journey from childhood abuse to healing in the best-selling book Fired Up: Fueling Triumph from Trauma. More than a memoir, it is solution focused, as a guide and clarion call to survivors who want to heal and thrive. My lived experience, paired with trauma-informed training, allows me to connect with clients on a profound level—bringing not only legal expertise but also empathy, understanding, and compassion. Over the years, I have recovered millions for our clients and taken on some of the most powerful corporations and institutions in the nation, including Donald Trump and Trump University, The Salk Institute, Trader Joe’s, Kaiser Permanente, the Grand Del Mar, and Sharp Healthcare. I believe no one is above accountability. At the heart of everything I do, is my unwavering belief in equity, equality, respect, and justice for all—regardless of race, religion, gender, gender identity, or disability.
