About Alexander Mikaelian

Samantha is a recent graduate of Loyola University New Orleans College of Law and a recent admittee to the State Bar of California. During her years at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law she was very active on campus. Samantha served as a student practitioner in the Children's Rights Clinic where she represented clients in a wide array of matters including child custody, disavowment of paternity, intrafamily adoption, and special immigrant juvenile application. Additionally, she served as treasurer for the Phi Alpha Delta law fraternity and the secretary for the Sports and Entertainment Law Society her second and third years. She was also a member of the Association of Women Law Students. During her summers during law school she worked at the Legal Aid Society of Orange County as a law clerk assisting indigent clients with various legal issues, including divorce, child custody, temporary restraining orders, credit collections, and home foreclosure. While interning at LASOC she assisted a staff attorney with the development and design of a new website aimed at providing self-help remedies for low income clients looking to refinance loans and escape foreclosure due to loans given out prior to the housing market crash. After sitting for the July 2015 California Bar Exam Samantha interned at the Children's Law Center of California which represented children who were entering the dependency process. While a Post Bar Law Clerk she assisted a staff attorney in conducting client interviews, conducting legal research, drafting pleadings and memorandum, as well as appearing before the judge for hearings as a certified law clerk. Samantha passed the California Bar Exam and was sworn in to practice law in December of 2015. Samantha is now employed at a boutique law firm in Pasadena, CA that specializes in worker's compensation defense.
