About Albon Head
Albon O. Head, Jr. is a partner in the Fort Worth office. Mr. Head has practiced in the federal and state courts in Texas and in numerous other jurisdictions since 1971, specializing in a variety of matters including complex business litigation, contract disputes, tax matters, fiduciary liability, real estate conflicts, toxic tort and environmental defense, personal injury and products liability defense, eminent domain and condemnation, pipeline and right-of-way litigation, railroad litigation, intellectual property and franchise litigation. He has conducted trials for major oil companies in defending environmental claims relating to abandoned tanks and abandoned refineries. He also has handled the defense of class actions brought against banks and publicly traded companies by shareholders and former employees. Mr. Head has handled matters in the entertainment law area, labor and employment related issues, defense of major national firms in professional liability matters, litigation involving significant business and property issues in family law, sports law, agribusiness, and in ERISA litigation. Mr. Head has also represented a major league baseball franchise, being engaged in the formation and representation of The Texas Rangers, Ltd. in its purchase and operation of the franchise during the mid-1970s, and handled litigation and related matters for the Rangers during the George W. Bush ownership era. In addition to Mr. Head's extensive litigation experience, he leads Jackson Walker's team in representing a large regional transportation authority and utility districts. Mr. Head is board certified in Civil Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
