About Albie Armfield
I graduated from Duke University with a degree in History, obtained a Masters Degree from Florida State University in Classics and earned my law degree from the Washington & Lee University School of Law. I began my career as a corporate attorney, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, labor and employment law, employee benefits, banking, and estate planning. I then spent over a decade focusing on litigation, with a particular focus on workers' compensation claims - first on the defense side and later on behalf of injured workers. Since moving to Lynchburg, I have developed a number of relationships that have led me back to business law. Over the past several years, I have represented businesses and their owners in a broad range of matters, including entity formation, contracts, business acquisitions, and other transactions. I have developed a particular focus on residential real estate development. I represent developers throughout the process of establishing subdivisions and condominiums. I also represent homeowners' associations and individuals with regard to HOA issues. While I continue to focus on business and real estate-related matters, I do assist businesses and individuals with litigation from time to time when the need arises.
