About Alana Rotter
As an appellate lawyer, I help litigators and parties keep their trial court victories, and reverse their losses. One way I do that is by handling appeals and writ petitions in California and federal appellate courts. Another is by partnering with litigators to draft effective trial court motions and to create a trial court record that will stand up on appeal. I handle cases involving a wide range of subjects. I have experience with, among other things, trusts and estates/probate; profit participation disputes between talent and studios; breaches of contract; employment; anti-SLAPP; arbitration; issues facing public entities; and appellate procedure. I am certified as an Appellate Specialist by the State Bar of California Board, and Chambers has lauded me as an "up-and-coming" appellate lawyer. I am involved in the California appellate bar, including chairing the Los Angeles County Bar Association State Appellate Judicial Evaluation Committee, and participating in the California Academy of Appellate Lawyers.
