Adam Young

Adam is a trusted advisor to employers on occupational safety and health law. He defends OSHA inspections and resolves OSHA citations. Adam assists clients with workplace safety counseling, regulatory counseling, OSHA litigation, commercial litigation relating to safety and health issues, and whistleblower litigation. Adam helps employers with safety and health issues relating to drugs and alcohol in the workplace, with an emphasis on cannabis compliance and policies. He has experience in all aspects of labor and employment counseling and litigation, and guides employers through any legal issue. Adam is an accomplished trial lawyer and has successfully tried OSHA and other employment matters before federal and state courts. His trial work before the Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission (OSHRC) Commission judges, and OSHA state plan agencies has resulted in the vacating of OSHA citations and the creation of favorable case law for employers. He has also represented clients successfully at mediations and arbitrations. Adam's pro bono work includes representing the parents of abducted children in federal litigation under the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction. The United States Department of State, Office of Children's Issues awarded him a Certificate of Appreciation for his work on behalf of pro bono clients. Adam is proficient in Spanish and helps employers with investigations and workplace safety counseling related to Spanish-speaking employees.
