Adam Ross

A practicing litigator in Charlotte since 2003, the majority of Adam’s practice now involves representing motorsports teams and drivers in NASCAR’s three traveling series, with significant experience in other forms of motorsport as well. This work involves dispute resolution, negotiating driver and sponsor contracts, and the full range of services necessary to help motorsports participants comply with applicable law, and race for wins and championships. Adam currently represents numerous of the top teams participating in the NASCAR Cup Series, along with numerous drivers in the Cup Series, and is proud to call many of his clients and other participants in the sport friends. Additionally, Adam brings to the table many years of a wide variety of complex civil litigation experience, including handling business disputes, catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death cases, shareholder conflicts, real property disputes, securities litigation, insurance coverage disputes, contract disputes, and employment matters – with a special focus on conflicts related to covenants not to compete. Adam is certified by the North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission to mediate Superior Court cases, serves as an arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association (AAA) in consumer cases, and would welcome the opportunity to mediate or, if needed, arbitrate the full range of legal disputes that he regularly encounters in his law practice. Adam is peer review rated AV by Martindale-Hubbell, is routinely named a Super Lawyer in Business Litigation by North Carolina Super Lawyers Magazine, and more recently, in the field of Entertainment and Sports, and is also commonly listed among the “Legal Elite” and “Best Lawyers in America” in the fields of Entertainment and Sports Law, Business Litigation, and Insurance Litigation. Adam has argued on multiple occasions before the North Carolina Court of Appeals, and is admitted to practice before all North Carolina state trial, appellate and federal courts.
