I’m board certified in estate planning and probate law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, and my practice at Paup, Shutt & Associates focuses on probate, estate planning, elder law, guardianship and special needs planning. This includes sound estate planning goals for clients and navigating the legal process after death. Outside of my core practice areas, I enjoy assisting families who have a child or loved one with special needs. This includes using my experience and knowledge of planning for special needs trusts, ABLE accounts, Medicaid waiver navigation, guardianship when needed, alternatives when it's not. Every plan is different because every family’s situation is different. Over the years I've enjoyed presenting to various community organizations like Dementia Friendly Fort Worth, Cancer Care Services, Lone Star Council of Charitable Gift Planners, Helping Restore Ability, Cook Children's, and parent support groups across the DFW area. Families have questions that deserve real answers instead of internet guesses. I have also presented to local bar association groups about estate planning, elder law and special needs planning.
