About Aaron Murphy
I have been an attorney in the same firm since 1997. My practice includes trying cases to juries and judges in criminal and civil cases. My firm also handles business law and contracts, taxation, real estate, workers compensation, probate and estate planning, etc. In addition to our private practice (which would keep us busy itself full-time for the rest of time), our office is the county attorney's office for Mitchell County, Iowa. As such, for example, we prosecute (and take to trial) Mitchell County criminal cases as well as advise the county on civil matters, etc. We also advise local municipalities as city attorney. I am very logic driven and analytical in my approach to-- well, most things in life. However, the fact that I am face to face with people every day, try cases successfully, and have been married to the same woman since 1991 (with whom I have 3 kids) demonstrates I am persuasive in my presentation and effective in getting people to see things from my (or my client's) point of view. However, I also see the power of effective compromise (when necessary).
