Lawyer since 1973 in private practice in Abilene, Texas (1973-84) and Fort Worth, Texas (1986-present); general counsel of LaJet, Inc., a Texas-based petroleum refining and marketing company (1978-1984); involved in capital formation and loan funding for North Texas real estate (1984-86); involved in capital formation for oil and gas, real estate, insurance, manufacturing, and other businesses; international oil and gas experience; international infrastructure negotiations and transactions in Kazakhstan after independence from the Soviet Union; commercial and business transactions and litigation with heavy emphasis in commercial, business, employment, healthcare, real estate, and alternative dispute resolution; significant experience with post-secondary proprietary schools, including state and federal agency activity.
