Below are a few of the more significant summary judgments that Stacy has obtained: *An employment discrimination and retaliation lawsuit in which the plaintiff sued under the ADA, FMLA, and ERISA seeking over a million dollars in damages. The final dismissal was affirmed by the Fifth Circuit and the United States Supreme Court denied certiorari. *Defending Officer and director defendants in a foster care placement agency lawsuit *Defending a mortgage broker against a plaintiff alleging fraud and seeking over $100,000 in damages *Defending an employer against claims of defamation Stacy has also obtained numerous summary judgments in premises liability claims. Stacy has also successfully defended a home inspector in a trial before a judge obtaining a take-nothing judgment. In addition, Stacy has successfully defended several dismissals as appellate counsel. In addition to representing clients in employment cases in state and federal court, Stacy regularly handles claims at the TWC, EEOC, & DOJ. She also advises employers in their workplace investigations, policies and procedures, employee discipline, and termination, and has helped conduct several investigations of claims for discrimination and retaliation.
