About Barake Gabriela
I'm an attorney in the Trial & Appellate Litigation section of Jackson Walker’s Houston office. In my fiduciary litigation practice, I represent trustees, administrators, guardians, and executors in probate, trust, and guardianship matters. In my employment practice, I represent both individuals and companies in general business litigation and employment disputes in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies. I handle a variety of claims, including those brought under the Fair Labor Standards Act, Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the Age Discrimination in Employment Act. In 2019, I was named one of the “Top 40 Under 40” by the American Academy of Attorneys. I’ve been named to the Texas Rising Stars list by Super Lawyers since 2020 and the Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch since 2021. Many of my clients appreciate my ability to communicate fluently in Spanish and conversationally in French. When I’m not at the office or in the courtroom, I’m in the yard with my rescue pitbull, I’m playing ice hockey, or I’m cheering on Toronto sports.
