About Jennifer Durbin
I received Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science Degrees from Southern Methodist University in 1980 and my law degree from St. Mary's University School of Law in 1984. Admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1984 and also admitted to practice in all Texas Courts, as well as the United States District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Western and Eastern Districts of Texas. I began my legal career with Plunkett, Gibson & Allen in 1982 as a law clerk. I worked for Plunkett, Gibson & Allen for twelve years where I eventually became a shareholder. I have continued my career as a founding shareholder of the law firm, Allen, Stein & Durbin. I have over twenty-five years of trial experience in both insurance and personal injury litigation and have earned a peer review "AV" rating from Martindale-Hubble. I have been listed as one of "San Antonio's Best Lawyers" in S.A. Magazine for several years. In 2011 and 2012, I was selected for inclusion in Texas Super Lawyers, a Texas Monthly magazine publication. I am a member and past President of the San Antonio Bar Association and a member and past President of the American Board of Trial Advocates-San Antonio Chapter. I have served on numerous State Bar Committees, having been elected to serve as a Director of the State Bar of Texas from 2001 to 2004. I focus my practice on lawsuits involving negligence, products liability, defamation, premises liability, wrongful death, breach of contract, common law and statutory fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, bad faith litigation and general civil litigation. I have also received training to serve as an arbitrator through the Conflict Solutions Arbitration Training Course.
